Armchair Expert AI Explorer
How the Armchair Expert AI Explorer Works
Ask a question about Armchair Expert, a guest, or an idea. The conversational Explorer finds the relevant episodes and guides the next step.
Keyword and semantic search
Search a keyword, multiple comma-separated topics, or a question such as "what episodes do they discuss murder?". Results show guest or title matches first, followed by transcript matches, description matches, and verified related discussions, and include episode, guest, and timestamped transcript context. Double quotes request strictly exact wording. Related excerpts are limited to 60 words and shown only when their source passage supports a strong connection; there may be none.
- Start with a name, phrase, or natural question such as "What episode is Adam Grant in?".
- Put exact wording in quotation marks.
- Ask a follow-up about the results; the conversational Explorer resolves the episode scope for you.
Episode query
Ask what was said in an episode, for example "What movies did they discuss with Olivia Wilde?". The conversational Explorer finds her appearances and asks you to choose if several fit. Explicit requests for all matching episodes proceed automatically, up to 50 episodes per question. Episode answers identify the sources used.
- Ask a focused question for the clearest result.
- Check the cited episode and timestamp against the source when accuracy matters.
- AI responses can contain mistakes and should not be treated as a verbatim transcript.
General chat
Ask about a broader idea, person, book, or place. General discussion uses model knowledge beyond the transcripts and is labelled separately from episode-grounded answers. Follow-up questions can retain the relevant episode or topic context.
